It was an honor to join fellow Portuguese elected officials and community leaders for a productive lunch with Portugal's Secretary of State for the Portuguese Communities, Dr. Emídio Sousa. 🇵🇹🤝

These conversations strengthen the ties between our local Portuguese community and Portugal while celebrating the rich heritage that continues to shape Elizabeth.

A special thank you to Valenca Restaurant for the outstanding hospitality and authentic Portuguese cuisine. 🇵🇹🍽️

One of the things I appreciate most about serving our city is hearing directly from residents and business owners who care deeply about Elizabeth. 🙌🏽

In this video, Elizabeth resident, Clenny Perez, shares his experience and gratitude for the support he and his good friend, Yanet Garcia, owner of a new restaurant called The Dominican Corner at 436 Sping St. in Elizabeth has received from Mayor Bollwage and members of the City Council. His message is a reminder of what truly matters: being accessible and responsive, for the people we serve.

At the end of the day, residents want leaders who listen, support local businesses, and work every day to make our community stronger. That's what public service is all about.

Thank you to all of our residents and business owners for your continued trust and partnership. Together, we keep moving Elizabeth forward. 🤝

~

Gracias a todos nuestros residentes y propietarios de negocios por su continua confianza y colaboración. Juntos, seguimos impulsando a Elizabeth hacia adelante.

Nothing better than spending quality time with my youngest son, Adam, and cheering on the New York Knicks during Game 3 of the ! 🏀🗽

Even though the Knicks fell short to the San Antonio Spurs 115-111, we're still up 2-1 in the series. Win or lose, there's nowhere I'd rather be than watching our team with my son. These are the moments that matter the most! ❤️

Game 4 is Wednesday night at MSG. The Knicks will be better. Let's finish what we started — Let's go, Knicks! 🔵🟠

🇵🇹 Portugal Day is here! 🇵🇹

Kicking off today’s parade with the obligatory selfie, surrounded by royalty and Portuguese pride as we celebrate our heritage, culture, and community.

Even more special, four former queens are serving on the 2026 committee, helping ensure that our traditions continue to thrive for generations to come. Their dedication, along with the involvement of so many young people, is a testament to the strength and future of our Portuguese community.

Come on by, enjoy the festivities, and celebrate with us!

We head out at 2:00 p.m. from Union Square Plaza.

Viva Portugal! 🇵🇹❤️🎉
