Fun Fact Flower Friday: Tulip (Tulipa)🌷
1. There are over 3,500 varieties of tulips that exist today.
2. Keunkenhof in Holland is the largest tulip garden in the world.
3. Some tulip petals can be edible.
4. The name tulip comes from a Persian word that means turban.
5. Tulips must be planted in the summer months in order for them to blossom in the springtime.

Fun Fact Flower Friday: Sunflower (Helianthus)🌻
1. Sunflowers demonstrate a behavior called “heliotropism” which means they turn toward the sun ☀️. This is how they got their name.
2. A sunflower head can produce up to 1,000-2,000 seeds!
3. Sunflowers are native to the Americas.
4. The tallest sunflower recorded was 30 feet and 1 inch! 😮
5. Every sunflower is made up of thousands of tiny flowers called florets. These are actually the petals and fuzzy brown centers of the flower.

Fun Fact Flower Friday: Daisy (Bellis perennials)🌼
1. Daisies represent purity and innocence.
2. Daisies are biennials which means their life cycle ends after two years.
3. Bees 🐝 are the main pollinators of daisies. They can’t get enough!
4. Daisies are a great source of vitamin C and are used to help alleviate back pain.
5. Daisies are Sunflowers’ little cousin. They come from the same family and they grow in similar habitats🌻.
