The Fire District is in the Marginal Risk area for Severe Weather.
Just to the South of the District is 2 to 4% Chance area for a Tornado.
We are in the 5 to 14% chance area for Severe Hail.
The 5 to 14% chance area for Severe Wind.
And the Limited Area for Excessive Rainfall.
Tomorrow More Scattered Rain and Thunderstorms Warmer and more Humid.

RED Flag Day
Today is a Red Flag Day within the Entire Fire District. No Open Burning. The threat level is Elevated. Warm Conditions, Southwest Winds Gusting as High as 25 MPH and Relative Humidity Falling as Low as 25% is resulting in an Elevated Grass & Brush Fire Threat, Fires may Spread Out of Control.
Use Extra Caution with any outdoor equipment that involve open flame or sparks, including operating farm equipment, parking on grass and improperly discarding smoking materials.

Training Evolutions
Last Week our Personnel Trained at the Elgin Community College Public Safety Center. We completed several Fire Evolutions, working on First in Officer Decision Making, Hose Line Advancement, Search, Ventilation, Ladders, VES (Vent, Enter, Search), and the Incident Command System.

Rural Operations Training
Our firefighters have been training on Rural Fire Suppression Operations this week. Fire scenarios involving multiple hose lines for suppression with a rural water supply relay operation were the focus of the training.
