Established in 1972, Edmonds Bookshop continues to serve the needs and interests of readers in Edmonds and surrounding communities. We are a locally-owned, independent business, run by experienced book professionals and staffed by smart, gracious, and well-read employees. Under new ownership, Edmonds Bookshop continues the tradition of a community-centered bookstore focused on culture, discovery and enlightenment, supporting the needs of teachers and school librarians, and enhancing the small town shopping experience of Edmonds. The Bookshop was honored as one of the top five nominees for Publisher's Weekly Bookstore of the year in 2023.

September Story Time at Edmonds bookshop will be led by Tacoma children' s author, Mary Boone!
On Friday, September 25th at 9:30 am, children’s author Mary Boone will be reading her picture book, “Pedal Pusher: How One Woman's Bicycle Adventure Helped Change the World”, which tells the story of a woman who rode a bicycle around the world - in 1894! 🚲
She also has an upcoming new release, “The Flying Feminist:The First Woman to Build and Fly Her Own Plane” ✈️ More about Mary and her books can be found at
