Life in the NICU 🍼👩‍🍼🚼

We can’t wait to go home but our girl is worth every minute. Absolutely loving getting to know this sweet girl. This week Rory is 3 weeks old ! I cannot believe my baby will be one month next week! She loves her pacifier, snuggles and she’s a natural in pictures. She has gained a whole pound since her birthday ! 5 pounds 11 ounces tonight ! Counting down the days until she can come home and meet her cat brothers.

Unfortunately I am posting my sister’s pretty hair to share some sad news. As of May 2nd I will no longer be taking clients as my daughter has a health condition that will require more medical intervention , surgery, and a NICU stay. I’ve written this letter to you, my fantastic clients to explain…

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being the best clients a girl could ask for. Your kindness, stories, generosity and loyalty has meant the absolute world to me. Without you, my work would have no purpose. Creating art has been a huge part of my whole life and I appreciate your trust in me. As of June I am welcoming a beautiful baby girl into the world. My husband and I are beyond excited to meet her and start our family. Unfortunately due to complications in my pregnancy it is medically necessary for me to stop working earlier than expected. My baby has a diagnosis of Gastroschisis, a rare defect that will result in surgery and a hospital stay. She will do amazing. I’m sure of it, but this still leads to uncertainty. I must take care of my growing family and myself by stepping down so that I can take care of my baby when she comes. I am heartbroken to deliver this news to some of the dearest, most appreciated people in my life, my clients. I want to thank you again from the bottom of my heart for your understanding and support during this difficult transition. I appreciate you all so much and would love to still hear from you. Quick update ! I wanted to let you all know that I will be changing my schedule to accommodate my pregnancy! I will be dropping Wednesdays off my schedule as of March 1st! If you have an appointment you will get a call to move. Some appointments will stay as I am able to accommodate those.
