Beware of over watering in high temps....plants will close their stomata in extreme heat to preserve themselves...if soil is moist or wet and they still look wilted....you could be drowning them....sometimes you just gotta give a little shelter.....use your patio umbrellas!

Beginning of 250' dry creek
Thanksgiving Weekend has always been our traditional bulb planting time! What about you?
Okay...so what happened to all your lovely Vinca Major, variegated ground cover? It has been reduced to strings...no foliage? Moths....this season we had moths...more than normal that laid eggs in it and the larvae ate all the foliage. Here's what to do. Cut it down....mow it, scythe it...use hedge trimmers, a sickle...don't try to destroy your w**d eater with it. Rake all the junk out, give it some fertilome tree and shrub food...and wait....probably til spring. In the spring when the sap begins to rise (late february, early march) hit the area with tree and shrub drench. It's systemic, meaning all insects that try to eat it will die. Or you can call LandFX and we'll deal with it! ( =
