All agree that the legs and feet of iron (the great statue of Daniel 2) are representative of the Roman Empire. It follows, then, that at the end time the Roman Empire will be revived in some form. It is good to remember that the Roman Empire was not just in what we now call Europe, but was also in Byzantium, its capital city, Constantinople, and included Turkey, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon.

During this part of Paul's sermon he reaches a conclusion that will have major implications for all gentiles. He tells the Jews that the gospel message had to be given to them first, but since they have rejected it, he is turning to the gentiles. The Jews didn't like this. The gentiles loved it!
