McIntosh Laboratory, Inc. sonosfaber shawn romberg Some pictures don’t require captions

Had a great time at CEDIA and dinner with our friends from Crestron!

The perfect installation starts before a single piece of gear goes in the rack.
It starts with structure. Planning. Wire management that is designed, not stuffed.
These pictures are the part most people never notice — and the part that decides whether the system stays clean, serviceable, and reliable for years. Every run is placed on purpose. Every bundle is finished. The rack is built by us, down to the power cords.
That is not extra. That is the job.

Custom racks. Custom wiring. No shortcuts. HTSA_Group Control4 CEDIA

This is the standard.
In the rack: Control4 running the estate. Araknis managing the network. MoIP moving video. Kaleidescape holding the film library. McIntosh driving the system.Sonance speakers throughout the house. Commercial-grade power and Wi-Fi underneath so none of it is fragile.
In the living room: McIntosh amplification paired to Bowers & Wilkins Nautilus — their flagship. Not a speaker. A piece of art that happens to be one of the most serious loudspeakers ever built.
We specify the best because the house deserves it. Then we install it so it looks as clean as it sounds.
Only the highest equipment available. Built the way an estate system is supposed to be built.

Always innovating. We spec the platform that fits the house — then we build the rack like it has to last.

Before / after.
Same closet. Same Onkyo. Completely different standard.
The first photo is what we walked into: consumer Wi-Fi stacked on AV, a power strip on raw wood, loose RCA, no ventilation plan, no UPS, no service path.
The second photo is how that same space should look. Structured rack, Araknis PoE switching, Crestron control and distribution, WattBox with OvrC, airflow, and a system you can actually service without pulling the house apart.
This is the part of the job nobody sees on a mood board — and it is the part that decides whether the system stays reliable.
If your equipment closet looks like the first picture, that is not “just messy.” It is heat, power, and failure waiting on a Saturday night.

Just wrapped one of those projects that reminds you why we love this work.
Our friend Steven at The Royal Oakie built the custom matte-finish frame that tied this waterproof outdoor video wall together. It didn’t just finish the install — it made the whole space feel intentional. His imagination, his eye, and his attention to detail are next level. He also happens to be a lot of fun to build with, which matters more than people think when you’re chasing something this custom.
When Integrated AV and The Royal Oakie team up, imagination is the limit. We can do anything.
That’s the standard we hold ourselves to: extraordinary work, executed with people who actually care, on projects that feel as good to live with as they look in photos.
If you want a home that doesn’t look like everyone else’s — outdoor video, automation, audio, lighting, the whole experience — this is the team. We’re not the cheapest option. We’re the one you call when you want it done right and you want it to feel like yours.
