The IRS just announced the start date for tax season is January 24th. The due date for individual returns is April 18, 2022.

Don’t forget the tax deadline has moved to July 15th. You have to file your return or an extension by that date.

If you make Oklahoma estimated tax payments the 2nd one is due today. The IRS 2nd quarter is due July 15th. The Oklahoma and IRS 1st quarter payments are due July 15th as well. Kind of crazy I know.

The IRS has a tool on their website to confirm your stimulus payment. Go to IRS.gov. If you need to provide your direct deposit information you can do it here.

The IRS sent out stimulus payments today. If they had your direct deposit information from either your 2019 or 2018 taxes the money should be in your bank account today.

They just announced that they are pushing back Tax Day from April 15th to July 15th.

Oklahoma has just approved pushing back the deadline to pay your 2019 taxes to July 15th to conform with the IRS. You still have to file by April 15th or do an extension. But if you owe money on that return you now get until July15th to pay without penalties or interest.

It is official - Individuals can defer paying their taxes until July 15th. You still have to file or do an extension by April 15th however.
