Global Service Week - Hunger Relief

Today was a powerful reminder of what service truly means. Lions came together to serve meals to homeless and needy individuals in our community, offering not just food but warmth, dignity, and human connection. Seeing volunteers work side by side, sharing smiles and conversations with those we served, made this effort especially meaningful.

Acts like these go beyond a single meal. They reflect our commitment to caring for those facing difficult circumstances and to standing with our most vulnerable neighbors. Grateful to every Lion and volunteer who gave their time, energy, and heart to make this service project impactful. Together, we continue to serve with compassion and purpose. Thank you, NJ-Multicultural Lions Club and Plainsboro Township Lions Club for joining this initiative.

Thanksgiving Meal Service in Perth Amboy 🦃🍂

This Thanksgiving, over 30 dedicated volunteers joined hands for a heartwarming day of service in Perth Amboy. Since 2011, the Edison Visionary Lions Club has proudly partnered with Perth Amboy Township, the Mayor’s Office, and Abundant Life Worship Center to support the homeless and those in need. We were joined by Bayonne Lions, Edison Metro Lions, Elizabeth Cubano Lions, NJ Multicultural Lions, Old Bridge Visionary Lions, and Plainsboro Township Lions this year. We served over 4,000 meals to individuals and families facing hardships.

Our volunteers served meals, cleaned, assisted in the kitchen, distributed hygiene kits, performed vision screening, and contributed to grocery donations, all with the spirit of giving and love. We are incredibly thankful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of so many. Here’s to building a stronger, more compassionate community—one act of service at a time. 💛

For 15 years, Edison Visionary Lions Club has been dedicated to changing lives through hands-on service, from vision screenings and hunger relief to special needs support and global humanitarian efforts. On April 22, 2025, we celebrated our inspiring journey, and recognized our dedicated members & community partners.

Tonight, at the district meeting, we were honored to receive the 𝙈𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 1.5 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙪𝙢 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗 banner patch! 🏆🌟 We are one of only 𝟴 𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗯𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 to earn this prestigious designation, recognizing our commitment to growing Lions International and strengthening our service impact.

We are honored to share that the Edison Township Council will be passing a resolution recognizing the Edison Visionary Lions Club for 15 years of dedicated service since our charter in 2010! 🎉
