🐾 Volunteers Needed – Help Us Save More Dogs! 🐾
We are a small, nonprofit, volunteer- and foster-based dog rescue dedicated to giving homeless and at-risk dogs a second chance at life. As the number of dogs needing help continues to grow, we have expanded our rescue efforts beyond New Jersey into New York, Staten Island, Delaware, and Maryland and looking for help in these other states.
To continue saving lives, we urgently need dedicated, reliable volunteers to join our team. We understand that people have busy schedules, families, and other commitments, so any amount of help is greatly appreciated.
We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with:
🐶 Transporting dogs to foster homes, adopters, and veterinary appointments
🐶 Conducting temperament evaluations for incoming dogs
🐶 Fostering dogs in need of temporary homes
🐶 Interviewing potential adopters and owners considering surrendering their dogs
🐶 Performing home visits for prospective adopters
🐶 Assisting donation outreach
🐶 Coordinating and attending meet-and-greets with surrendering owners and potential adopters.
Every volunteer plays a critical role in helping dogs find safe, loving homes. Whether you can help occasionally or on a regular basis, your time, compassion, and experience can make a life-saving difference.
If you're interested in volunteering or would like more information, please contact us today.
❤️ Together, we can help more dogs get the second chance they deserve. ❤️🐾
Go to our website gsgsr.org and fill out the volunteer application.

Meet Wanda!
Wanda is a beautiful 11-month-old girl who looks like Zara and is looking for an active, loving home to call her own. She gets along with other dogs, has been around children, and has experience with some small animals.
Wanda need leash training and learning basic commands, but she is a smart, eager-to-please girl who will learn quickly with consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement.
She would thrive in a family with children and/or a respectful male dog companion. Wanda is looking for a family that will help her explore the world, build her confidence, and enjoy plenty of adventures along the way.
If you are interested in adopting Wanda, please visit our website at gsgsr.org and complete an adoption application.

As we're getting to know Hera, we've discovered that she is an incredibly sweet, friendly girl who simply wants to enjoy life as a dog. She has all the qualities needed to become a wonderful companion and loyal family member.
At just one year old, Hera is a clean slate for training and has the kind of temperament that makes her easy to bring along wherever life takes you. She is respectful around other dogs, has been around children, and has also done well with some smaller animals and loves everyone she meets.
One of her cutest features is her adorable floppy ear—which occasionally decides to stand up on its own!
We are currently accepting applications only for Hera. To apply, please visit our website and complete an adoption application: gsgsr.org
If you have already submitted an application with us and still are interested please email us the application number or name on application.
We are not affiliated with any other rescue.

HELP US SAVE ROSIE
Rosie is looking for a special adopter—someone willing to put in the time, patience, and love needed to help her learn to trust humans again and finally have the life she deserves.
Rosie didn't choose the difficult life she had. Humans made those choices for her.
We believe Rosie is under 2 years old, and while we don't know everything she has been through, it's clear she has experienced significant trauma. Despite that, she has so much potential with the right person by her side.
Rosie needs:• A home with no children• Possibly a confident male dog to help show her the ropes• A securely fenced yard where she can safely explore and gain confidence in the outside world
Rosie has been in several foster homes, but unfortunately each move means starting over. What she truly needs is a permanent home where she can fully decompress, feel safe, and begin the training and healing process.
If you believe you can give Rosie the second chance she deserves, please visit gsgsr.org and complete an adoption application.
Rosie urgently needs her forever home. Please share to help us find the person willing to change her life forever.
GSGSR stands by Rosie and will help support with the training she will need.

Due to the overwhelming number of calls and emails regarding Zara and her puppies, we are unfortunately unable to respond to individual inquiries until they are born.
Once we have confirmed that Zara and her puppies are safe we will then provide an update. At that point, we will begin reviewing applications only for Zara and the puppies.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support.

We wanted to share what we’ve learned about Hera so far.
Hera has spent her entire life living outdoors or in a pole barn alongside other dogs in similar circumstances. Because of this, she is most likely not house-trained, has never learned basic commands, and doesn’t really know what toys are or how to play with them yet.
Despite her background, Hera is incredibly sweet and loves human attention and affection. She has a wonderful personality and is eager to connect with people. We believe she will be a quick learner with patience, consistency, and love.
Our goal is to find Hera the best possible new life with a family that will help her experience all the comforts of living in a home. She would do well with respectful children and a confident male dog who can help show her the ropes and build her confidence.
We would love to get her to her new home now and with her family as she is in a safe place but needs a home.
If you would like to foster or adopt Hera and help her learn what it means to be a beloved family member, please reach out. She deserves the chance to experience the loving home she has never had.
