Many teachers spend June trying to recover from a school year that asked a lot of them.

The challenge is that recovery is often treated as something we earn only after exhaustion, rather than as something that helps prevent it in the first place.

Rest isn't the opposite of meaningful work. It's one of the conditions that makes meaningful work possible.
