Poetry and photography have always felt like soulmate art forms to me. Both ask you to distill something down to its essence, using framing and exposure to reveal emotional truth. I’ve always been drawn to the feeling of an image speaking a thousand words.

I love the magic of movement and what the body is capable of — the way muscle and intention combine to achieve certain poses. Human anatomy is so graphic yet intentional; fragile, yet resilient.

Why do we try to show up perfect in bodies that weren’t meant to be that?

Talk about someone who has left imprint in R&B, soul, Black sensuality on a spiritual level. D’Angelo has influenced my work as an artist in so many ways, especially how I see Black men. Soft, symbolic, yet powerful. I was hoping I would be able to see him perform someday soon. Now all that left is his legacy💔🕊️ rest in paradise
