This has been a busy weekend for Team Cassella! Our Team and its supporters spent the weekend handing out information about our candidates and meeting the people we proudly serve! Thanks to all those that came to the Breakfast this morning, we were glad to have such a great turn out!

Remember, Election Day is Tuesday and we need you all to come out and vote for Team Cassella - Mayor James L. Cassella, Councilman Thomas Banca, and Councilman Saverio Stallone! Your votes and support will allow us to continue to make East Rutherford a great place to live and work!

Team Cassella appreciated the opportunity to attend the East Rutherford Property Owners Association's Meet the Candidates night. But we're not just attending events, we're out on the streets knocking on doors meeting you the resident! Our ears are always open to hear the concerns of the community. Big event this week in East Rutherford! Saturday and Sunday will be the annual Columbus Day Festival! Parade starts at 12pm on Saturday on Paterson Avenue from Herman Street to Park Avenue. Don't forget to stop by the Team Cassella table and show your support.

September was quite a month! We hit a high note and enjoyed another year of the free Summer Concert Series...Our Soccer and Football Programs are in full swing and off to a great start! Paterson Avenue is looking revived with the majority of the streetscape improvements complete!

But on a more somber note, we remembered the tragic events of September 11th, but the sense of community it brought together was a fitting tribute to those that were lost. And community has never been more present than in our residents who continue to help each other recover from Irene. A special thanks to our Police, Fire, EMS, and Public Works professionals who stood ready and continue to assist the Borough in its time of need. Team Cassella couldn't be more proud to call East Rutherford home!

Looking towards October we look forward to the Civic Pride Association's Columbus Day Parade and Festival on October 8th and 9th, Halloween festivities later in the month, and plenty of Campaign TeamCassella happenings in between! Mayor Cassella speaks out against the potential closure of the East Rutherford Post Office

North Jersey post offices being considered for closure - NorthJersey.com Twelve North Jersey branches of the U.S. Postal Service are being considered for permanent closure, officials said Tuesday. The branches, which range from an annex in Englewood to a much larger location in Clifton, will have their ultimate fates decided over the next several months.
