North Eastern Pool and Spa

🍂 Closing season is upon us so here are a few things to keep in mind before you put your pool to bed for the winter:

🌡️ Watch your water temperature — Aim to close when your water temperature is below 65°F. Closing while the water is still warm can lead to more algae growth under the cover all winter long.

🧹 Clean the pool — Before you close, vacuum the floor, brush the walls, and skim the surface. Starting the winter with a clean pool makes a big difference when it comes time to open in the spring.

🧪 Balance & shock — Get your chemistry dialed in and shock the pool before covering it. Balanced water going into winter means a much easier opening next season and remember to bring in a water sample in for us to test for free and help you get it just right!

📉 Lower the water level — Drop the water below the skimmer line to prevent freezing and damage to your equipment over the winter.

🏊 Cover it right — A quality cover is your pool's first line of defense all winter. Make sure it's on and secured.

Every pool is a little different — when in doubt, let the pros handle it. We offer full pool closing services. 💙

Your pool should be designed around how you plan to use it. 💦

One of the first things we talk about with new pool buyers during their design process is how - and who - will be using the pool. 🏊‍♂️

Are you looking for a space for the kids to play? A place to relax and soak up the sun? Planning to entertain friends and family? Or a little bit of everything?

Those answers can help determine everything from size and depth of your pool to the features you choose to add. A diving board, sun ledge, slide or other features can all make sense depending on your family’s wants, needs, and lifestyle - but can also save you some money passing on things you might not get a lot of use out of! 🌞

There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to designing your backyard. That’s why we take the time to understand what you want from your pool and help you create a space you’ll love using. 🙌

Ready to start planning? Let’s talk!
