Half Shadow

A spectacle is taking place tomorrow night, Monday 9/21 Turn! Turn! Turn!. I’ll be reading my secret, red, dark night dream poems accompanied by my friends in emmet martin. This is potentially a one-off occasion. True improvisation, words, heart, sonics. It might be wild. Excited! We’re on first, probably right at 8.

Not only that but Strawberry Hands will be with us with his gorgeous new songs all the way from Philadelphia. Truly one of the best and most creative songwriters in the game at present. Come support and get one of Jacob’s new LP’s.

And to close out the night the legend Rachel Blumberg’s amazing improvised percussion, sound, and imagined film projection project Arch Cape, will perform. It’s truly a world to be in.

If I wasn’t playing this show I’d make every effort to attend!

Starts at 8. 10 bux. Not All Ages. See you there?

Presented by Lonely God 🕳️

Some film photos from two and three summers ago when I was humming songs to myself that would become WIND INSIDE. I recorded those songs in little snippets, Summer 2024, as I was in and out of town all season. here are some of the images that were passing through my brain and lens around that time.

Come hear WIND INSIDE in full next Sunday August 16th WORD VIRUS for the release show! Alexandre Duccini & violetcreatura will perform as well. It’s going to be deep. You’ll dream awake! Swipe all the way to see the flyer.

Lastly, it’s bandcamp Friday today (for those who observe)—consider WIND INSIDE as a candidate for your BC shopping cart. Link in bio to be swept away to Antiquated Future.

Thank you so much.

Hello from the ether, and a long instagram respite. I have returned to say that I am playing a show! And it’s a release show of sorts for the tiny-vast EP “Wind Inside” that I put out earlier this year with the support of the wonderful Antiquated Future. The original release show was postponed in a swirl of life challenges and I still feel called to get this EP out into the community. We’re going to close this loop and put the real live 7” into the hands of people who want it.

It’s all happening at the incredible WORD VIRUS Sunday August 16 at 7 pm and two of my favorite songwriters in Portland are joining me for the trip: my deep pal, song-spinner Alexandre & the deeply conjuring violetcreatura will both be sharing their magic. I’ll play solo ELECTRIFIED and hyperpresent. It’s going to be great and…free. Come!

This is one of only two shows I have planned for the rest of this year, so please do come out if you feel inclined. These new songs rattle. And, if you want to hear “Wind Inside” links to listen are you-know-where.

🌬️ Saturday 𝘔𝘢𝘺 𝟹𝟶! I'll be playing lodge solo alongside my pal .xoxo

🌲🪟 A special one for me, full of windswept songs of strange desire, death, actually growing up, having children, and somehow, still retaining a connection to the primal creative forces that I sit with everyday. 🥚🪺⁣

🕳️ 🌊 It's a letter from deepest winter to the first raindrops of spring; from the walloping seas of emotion to the bright, new budding leaves and the spring-tide berry. 🍓🌿⁣

🌧️ Despite its brevity this thing thunders with meaning and contains some of my favorite song-poems to date. 🌩️⁣

🍉 It's been with me since summer 2024, so I'm very relieved for it to be finally dripping out into the fray. 💧 Recorded and mixed at home & mastered it beautifully. 💧⁣
