Most authors spend years thinking about how to get their book published.

Far fewer spend time thinking about what happens after.

How are readers finding you?
What podcasts are you appearing on?
What speaking opportunities are coming your way?
How are your ideas growing beyond the book?

Today during our free Aloha Publishing Business Briefing & Brainstorm, we'll be working through a new exercise called the Post-Publication Vision Wheel to help authors envision the life, opportunities, visibility, and momentum they want their book to create and identify what they can start building in the next 90 days.

Whether your book is still an idea, currently in production, or already published, we'd love to have you join us.

Between snorkeling, spotting Honu along the shoreline (pictured here!), paddling together on an outrigger canoe, and walking Maui’s beach cliffs, Hawaii gave us a beautiful backdrop for a team trip but it also gave us perspective.

We spent our time there talking about the future of Aloha Publishing, the authors we’re honored to support, and the kind of work culture we want to continue creating together.

Do you have any upcoming travel plans this summer? Where are you headed? Share below! 🌊

There’s something restorative about watching the sunset with people you genuinely enjoy building alongside.

Last week in Hawaii, our team traded inboxes and launch timelines for ocean air, long conversations, shared meals, and space to reflect on where we’ve been and where we’re headed next.

We came home reminded that good work is built by people who care deeply about each other! 🌺

Last week, we stepped away from the inboxes, manuscripts, meetings, and launch plans to reconnect with the spirit behind Aloha Publishing in Maui.

This week, we’re back in the office with fresh eyes, full hearts, and a renewed appreciation for the work we get to do alongside each other and our authors every day.

Mahalo to this incredible team for the laughter, conversations, adventures, and moments of connection we shared together. 🌺

There’s something fitting about a company called Aloha Publishing heading to Hawaii to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the spirit that inspired this company in the first place.

Next week, our team will be in Maui for a little break. 🌺

The kind that helps ideas return. The kind that reminds you why the work matters. The kind that lets you come back with fresh eyes, full hearts, and renewed creativity.

Writers know this feeling well. Sometimes the breakthrough comes after you step away from the page.

We’re grateful for every author, reader, and friend who’s part of this community. Thank you for giving us the grace to pause for a moment so we can return rested, inspired, and ready for what’s next.

Me ke aloha,
The Aloha Publishing Team

Spring and summer are some of the best seasons for authors to get out into the world and start conversations around their books.

Panels. Workshops. Retreats. Book signings. Conferences. Podcast interviews. Community events. Speaking engagements.

A book becomes something entirely different when readers get to experience the voice behind it in real life.

One thing we want every Aloha author to know: you do not have to do it alone.

If you have events planned this season, we would genuinely love to support you however we can, whether that means sharing details, helping spread the word, connecting you with attendees, or brainstorming ways to maximize the opportunity.

Tell us what you have coming up this spring and summer 👇

There is something powerful about seeing a book come off the page and into a real conversation.

We’re excited to share that two Aloha authors, Christie Cooper (Guiding Change) and Mandi Feely Swain (Origination Boost), will be speaking at the upcoming Key4Women Voices of Resilience & Leadership event in Boise, Idaho alongside Ramina Wilkerson.

The afternoon will focus on resilience, leadership, storytelling, and growth through the experiences of three incredible women and authors.

At Aloha, the spirit of Hawaiian culture shapes so much of what we do. Nowhere is that more true than the Hawaiian practice of talk story.

In Hawaii, people sit together and share what they’ve lived and what they’ve learned, in the easy, honest way that happens when they trust each other. That’s how wisdom has traveled through Hawaiian culture for generations, carried inside someone’s experience, with all the feeling and context still intact.

That’s what a great book does. It takes what you already share with clients and carries it further than any one room can hold.

The authors who make the biggest impact write the way they speak to someone they trust. Readers can feel the difference.

If people keep telling you to write a book, that’s your story asking for a bigger room. We’d love to help you find it.

Purpose beyond the page 📘✨

Earlier this month at the Premier Mortgage Resources Success Rally, Heather had the opportunity to celebrate the impact of Origination Boost with author Mandi Feely-Swain and PMR’s Chief Marketing Officer, Candace Ellington.

Origination Boost was created to be a practical guide designed to help loan originators grow their business, strengthen relationships, and create consistent success. That mission now extends beyond the pages through an app, podcast, and community surrounding it.

Seeing readers inspired in person, hearing stories of transformation, and watching signed copies placed into eager hands was a reminder of what powerful books can do: give people direction and the tools to take action.

Congratulations to Mandi, Candace, and the entire PMR team on creating something that truly moves people forward. 🌺

Over the last few months, we have been watching The ARTwork of God by Tim Bunn and Tim Anstine gain traction, and what stands out most is how intentional the growth has been.

Roughly 700 copies have been placed into the hands of church members, ministry leaders, and trusted circles, where the book is shared, passed along, and discussed.

This is what we mean when we talk about positioning a book for shared experience. A family reads it together, a group builds conversation around it, or a leader places it into the hands of someone else who needs it. One book begins to create many conversations.

For authors, this is an important reminder that momentum builds when the right book reaches the right people, and those people feel compelled to share it with others.
