Hello hello! We're very overdue for an update, so I figured I'd let yall know what I've been up to lately! Some good, some not so good, and what this looks like for Janey Creates.

First- the good! I have some fun ideas brewing... locket charm bracelets anyone?? My fiance Parker and I have been busy planning our wedding which has truly been the most fun experience. We just had engagement photos taken this week by the incredibly talented Ali Knowles and we cant wait to show them off! She literally trekked through a foot of mud to take the pictures, what a trooper we love her 😅 🩷

Some less fun things: Some of you know about my struggle with autoimmune disorders. I have a thyroid disorder and dysautonomia that, for the most part, I manage just fine. Lately though, I've been experiencing joint pain in my hands, wrists, and knees. On good days it hardly impacts me at all! And on bad days, I cant even put away my dishes or close my car trunk. I'm working with doctors to figure out the cause, but early signs are pointing to autoimmune involvement of some sort.

On top of my business, I also work full time at a job that requires lots of typing. I'm in school part-time for business administration... also lots of typing. And a more exciting part of my life right now- planning our wedding! All of which require my hands to be functional.

As you can imagine, market days in the elements are intense on my body, even on the best day. Parker has been incredible throughout, taking care of all of the heavy lifting and running the booth when I needed to take breaks. But even with his support, I've had to cancel last minute on markets that you and I were both looking forward to. To be clear, theres far more good days than bad! But I can't predict when those tough days are going to hit.

‼️➡️So for now, I've made the difficult decision to pause in-person markets to prioritize my health. I'm not sure for how long, but I'm hopeful once doctors figure out the cause of my joint pain I'll be back with you soon in person!⬅️‼️

Let me emphasize, this is TEMPORARY! There is truly nothing I love more than spending time with yall!! You've brought me so much joy in the past 2.5 years I've been running Janey Creates, and I hope that I've spread some of that joy to you too.

So how can you stay connected? You can still find me in stores at The Studio in Apex, Fusion Gallery, and Wild at HeART in VT. And I am always happy to make custom pieces, please feel free to reach out! I plan to run more story sales on Instagram, and I'm working on getting my Etsy back up and running too. So I'll still be around, just not as in-person as I used to be.
