On April 21st, Triangle SfN neuroscientists had the exciting opportunity to visit East Chapel Hill High School, where we shared interactive talks on addiction (Dr. Amir Rezvani) and the science of itch and pain (Dr. Santosh Mishra) 🧠✨ From exploring how the brain’s reward pathways shape behavior to uncovering why something as simple as a scratch can feel so complex, students dove into the fascinating world of neuroscience.

We loved connecting with such an engaged group of students and sparking conversations about how neuroscience impacts everyday life—and future careers. Huge thank you to the students and teachers at ECHHS for welcoming us so enthusiastically. We can’t wait to be back!

This year’s UNC Science Expo was a feast for the senses🧠🍋 Visitors put their taste buds to the test: finding out if they’re supertasters, transforming sour to sweet with miracle berries, and getting hands-on with the Claw. Science has never felt (or tasted) this fun!

This past Friday was our 11th annual Triangle SfN conference. We had the opportunity to listen to some fantastic talks, show off some fantastic posters, and network with some great scientists. Thank you all for attending and thank you to those who helped make this conference possible!
