At Welcome Baby, we proudly join the nationwide initiative to promote safe, nurturing environments for all children. Throughout this month so far, we planted beautiful blue pinwheels, a symbol of hope, resilience, and our shared commitment to helping every child grow up healthy and supported.
We were honored to have several parents from our parenting classes join us in this meaningful cause. Their participation reflects the power of community and the important role caregivers play in shaping positive childhood experiences.

Why Pinwheels?
Pinwheels represent the bright futures all children deserve. Child abuse prevention starts with strong families, supportive communities, and access to resources that help parents thrive.

How We Can All Help Prevent Child Abuse:
• Celebrate and support positive parenting

• Advocate for programs that uplift children and caregivers

💙 Abril es el Mes de la Prevención del Abuso Infantil 💙
En Welcome Baby, nos unimos con orgullo a la iniciativa nacional para promover entornos seguros y afectuosos para todos los niños. Durante de este mes, hemos plantado hermosos molinillos azules, un símbolo de esperanza, resiliencia y nuestro compromiso compartido de apoyar el crecimiento saludable de cada niño.
Tuvimos el honor de contar con la participación de varios padres de nuestras clases de paternidad en esta causa tan significativa. Su presencia refleja el poder de la comunidad y el importante papel que los cuidadores desempeñan en la creación de experiencias positivas durante la infancia.

¿Por qué molinillos?
Los molinillos representan los futuros brillantes que todos los niños merecen. La prevención del abuso infantil comienza con familias fuertes, comunidades solidarias y acceso a recursos que ayudan a los padres a prosperar.

Cómo podemos ayudar a prevenir el abuso infantil:
• Celebrar y apoyar la crianza positiva
• Fortalecer las conexiones comunitarias
• Compartir recursos que ayuden a las familias a manejar el estrés
• Abogar por programas que apoyen a niños y cuidadores

Juntos, podemos crear espacios más seguros y saludables para cada niño.

Estamos muy complacidos de compartir estas fotos de las mamás que participaron en el programa Triple P. Con dedicación, esfuerzo y compromiso, estas madres aprendieron estrategias esenciales para apoyar el comportamiento positivo de sus hijos. ¡Celebramos su crecimiento, aprendizaje y el impacto que esto tendrá en sus familias!

Por otra parte, el programa Triple P (Programa de Paternidad Positiva) Es uno de los programas de crianza más investigados del mundo, con más de 40 años de estudios científicos. Se utiliza en más de 25 países y ha ayudado a millones de familias.

Durham County Government will close most offices in recognition of the Good Friday holiday on Friday, April 3, 2026. All offices will reopen with normal hours of operation on Monday, April 6.

Did you know that Cooking is often seen as a creative outlet for fathers. Many dads report learning new skills and experimenting with flavors as a way to relax and express themselves.

Yesterday, our Circle of Parents group for fathers kicked off an exciting cooking series in partnership with the EFNEP program!
Over the next six sessions, these dads will learn new cooking techniques, discover delicious recipes, and most importantly connect with each other to share parenting experiences and support.
A big shoutout to Mac Bustillo for making this possible!

Sabías que cocinar a menudo se considera una forma creativa de expresión para los padres? Muchos papás comentan que aprender nuevas habilidades y experimentar con sabores es una manera de relajarse y expresarse.

Ayer, nuestro grupo Círculo de Padres para papás comenzó una emocionante serie de clases de cocina en colaboración con el programa EFNEP!
Durante seis sesiones, estos padres aprenderán nuevas técnicas de cocina, descubrirán recetas deliciosas y, lo más importante, tendrán la oportunidad de compartir experiencias de paternidad y apoyarse mutuamente.

Good afternoon, if you were looking for a way to support Welcome Baby families we are now collecting baby wipes. Normally we get our wipes from the Diaper Bank, however they will not be able to supply wipes anymore for a while. Help us help families keep bottoms clean and covered!
