Duke Life Flight

Duke Life Flight is a multimodal platform that offers Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, Specialty Care Transport, In-hospital Rapid Response, and Event Medicine services. Our bases are strategically located throughout central North Carolina, with the capacity to rapidly deploy assets to critically ill and/or injured patients throughout North Carolina and surrounding states.

June's Aircraft of the Month ✈️

This month, we're proud to feature some of the resident lifesavers of JNX: Duke Life Flight and Metro Aviation.

For nearly two decades, the Duke Life Flight team has had the privilege of serving Johnston County and the surrounding communities. Based right here at Johnston Regional Airport, their aircraft provide rapid access to specialized medical care, helping transport patients to the most appropriate hospital when every minute matters.

As the team shares:

"Being based at JNX-Johnston Regional Airport remains an amazing location to expedite transport upon request to the closest most appropriate hospital. It allows us the opportunity to bring Duke to the community alongside our first responder partners to deliver excellent care."

Duke Life Flight works in partnership with Metro Aviation to provide safe, efficient air medical transportation for those in need, bringing critical care closer to home and helping save lives across eastern North Carolina.

Duke Life Flight's Code Team is a group of highly trained paramedics and nurses who respond to medical emergencies within the Duke University Hospital campus. They work closely with the Life Flight helicopter and ground transport teams, as well as the hospital staff, to provide rapid and effective care to patients of all ages and conditions.
