We’re starting the day off with a beginner lesson at 1pm taught by DJ Cokie! You can decide after that whether you’re ready to jump in the deep end with a workshop. DJ. Timbera. Bachatera. DJ Cokie is one of the Triangle’s resident Cuban/Casino salsa community builders. She can tell you all about bachata’s roots in Cuban son & bolero. Through Palenke Cuban Dance, she teaches classes in salsa, timba, bachata, merengue, and more.

Bachata Binge Workshop 1

This class will start off with footwork. Then we’ll learn how to tie them into partner dancing.

Jose Paredes is the founder/director of JP Dance and one of the best in the business of Dominican bachata. The debonair Santo Domingo native is a spectacular social dancer and excellent instructor. JP Dance has proven to be a huge asset to the growth of the Triangle’s bachata scene.
