Weekend project. Duncan is a returning client and got a new vehicle that he needs to use during the week. I don’t typically work on weekends, but I can be flexible!

How long have you been a DIP? A year and a half

Why did you become a DIP? As a fairly new community member and business owner, I remember how difficult it was to meet people and feel connected with the area. I joined the Diplomats to get to know other business owners who may be struggling in the same way and be a helping hand. I am happy to offer professional advice on marketing and signs, connect like business owners who might be of assistance to each other, help businesses and individuals to navigate their way within the chamber and the community or just be a friend for someone to feel comfortable talking with. The chamber is a perfect avenue for all of those efforts and being a Diplomat is a great way to have more intimate relationships with other chamber, business, and community members.

Fun fact about you: I enjoy training animals. I grew up on a horse's back and competed with the US Pony Club through my teens. I not only trained my own horses for competition, but I also worked with a neighbor training their Percheron/Thoroughbreds when I was in grade school. I don’t often ride any longer, so now I enjoy working with Rex, my black lab mix. Rex knows multiple tricks by voice as well as hand commands.

Drove by to take a look at this final project. It was a joint effort. I created the design and signage and Durango Construction did the install and monument build. They look beautiful!!

Do you have a dry erase board? Customize it with graphics. That’s right… I can print on dry erase material!! This one is for a menu. They also work well for emergency response. Last year I did a map for purgatory so they can record where response gear such as rescue toboggans are at all times. Get your dry erase board customized today

Bronkey got some graphics. The day after I put graphics on I walked out of the super market and someone was photographing my logo. She said it was the most creative branding she had seen around town. Here’s the thing with branding, if you can make it funny people will remember it.

I love putting graphics on BIG vehicles. Printed graphics don’t hold up as well as cut vinyl does. This is a 3 layer composed graphic. 3M vinyl of course.

My last picture is my new Bronco built in table. Nice to be able to have somewhere to put stuff while I’m working in the field.

Lots of fun projects going out the door this week. These panels are part of a self guided educational tour that will be installed at the James Ranch just north of town. Mandy Magill of the Dung Beetle Project and I worked over 30 hours on the design and wound up with 14 direct to panel, UV printed, interpretive signs. It's nice when friendships are formed through projects and clients that come my way. Can't wait to see them installed in their final display location.

The annual Durango Chamber event of Girls Gone Golfing. Another wonderful year!! I create the photo frames every year. So blessed to have them as clients. Thank you for all your hard work at putting the event together.

Fun project for Rocky Mountain Kettle Corn and Durango Gourmet Popcorn. Logo design and 3M Vehicle Wrap material applied to the outside of a serving bar. There will be a lot more to come with this company as they continue to work to open up their physical location downtown.
