" I can't sing and.I can't dance, but I can lick any S.O.B. in the house!"

William Harrison "Jack" Dempsey, Irish/Cherokee/Jewish world Heavweight Champion from 1919 to 1926.

I don't care what Wikipedia says, Jack Dempsey spent much of his formative years in Durango. Working in a coal mine and boxing. I was fortunate enough to.meet a couple of men at an assisted living facility who had sparred with him.

Come here about this and ghost stuff too!

Shout out to Beaufort Ghost Walk! The old burying grounds is the creepiest graveyard I've ever visited.

It never ceases to amaze me how much the environment of Durango has changed. Forward thinking people planting trees 130 years ago literally transformed the high desert environment through afforestation. The Durango lodges of the Elks, Woodmen of the World, Oddfellows, Knights of Pythias, Sons of Finland, and the Knights of Columbus all contributed to this worthy project at one time or another. Many of those trees planted are still standing today. Thank you https://westernmininghistory.com/ for the 1880's pics.

Our new video show, "Ghost Story Guys & Friends" is out! In it, we interview Hank Estrada, owner of GhostBooks.biz and publisher of paranormal books by the late Antonio R. Garcez.

Going forward, GSG & Friends will be the place we host our interviews and will come out "as and when" as opposed to the other shows, which always come out Tuesdays.

You can listen to GSG & Friends via the regular RSS feed or watch it in video form on Spotify & YouTube!
