It's Friday! On a Friday several weeks ago, we ate at before heading to for some small bike supplies. We rode a 25+ mile Animas Valley loop, skipping the Shalona climb that time, and got a snack (great scones!) and some Iced Americanos at .

We tidied up Durango Valley View for the start of our summer season. Our guests will enjoy a refreshed front landscape, crisp back yard, cleaned and streamlined garage, patio and deck, and of course, a very clean interior. The beds are comfy and the central air-conditioning is ready to go.

We pride ourselves in offering a clean, contemporary home for our guests to enjoy while visiting Durango.

We take care of our home as it was built to be our home in Durango when we can make the move - but it's difficult to take your HVAC clientele with you.

It's time again for our spring cleaning session. Over the next several days we will be making sure Durango Valley View is in tip-top shape. Our goals include refreshing the front landscaping, installing new bathroom vanity faucets (current ones are shorter than we prefer) and cleaning our house from top to bottom.

We pride ourselves in offering a clean, contemporary home for your family and friends to enjoy when you're in Durango.

Plus - we plan to finally attend the Durango Devo Swap as cyclists know N+1 concerning bike ownership. You never know what you need until you see what you want at a price you can't resist.

Valley View

It's Friday so it's time to head into the weekend as fast as possible. If you need a whole home to call your own while visiting Durango, look us up.

Next weekend is the .Devo bike swap April 25th at Chapman Hill Ice Rink and we hope to finally attend - and if we can pull it off - 'just' window shop... Or buy another bike - there's always the next one out there...

The Iron Horse Bicycle Classic is legend in its own right. Person vs Machine race along the Animas river before heading over two mountain passes and ending in Silverton. We love viewing the race when we get the chance and hope to compete one day (or at least compete against ones self).

Durango Valley View is located a half-mile from the Trimble Crossing intersection. The large parking lot offers great viewing of the racers cruising through the Animas Valley. Within a couple of miles they will be starting the long climb up to Purgatory, Coal Bank pass and Molas Pass.

Book your stay soon as we are starting to fill up for May and June. We offer two king beds and a sofa sleeper. Enjoy mornings sitting out on the deck overlooking the valley.

Our favorite brewery, , just dropped their musical lineup for their 31st Anniversary Party. It's a great event held every year and we hope to attend again in September. They know how to throw a fantastic party and the proceeds benefit the La Plata Open Space Conservancy.

We received a bunch of snow and everything looks beautiful. The Purgatory Resort area got a couple of feet this past week so now's your time to ski. The Nordic Ski Center is just north of the resort on the opposite side of Highway 550. It's a great place to cross-country ski or snowshoe with their groomed trails. Everyone is welcome to check them out.
