We are SO excited to announce that the Humane Society of Morrow County, in partnership with RASCAL Mobile Unit and Humane World, will be hosting our first-ever low-cost vaccine clinic exclusively for Morrow County residents!❤️🐶🐱

We have held a Rabies/Microchip clinic in prior years but this is our first ever full vaccine clinic!

📅 Sunday, November 8th
⏰ 10:00 AM–1:00 PM
📍 Location: Big Walnut Joint Fire District, Marengo, OH

We are still working out the final details and pricing, but we wanted you to mark your calendars NOW! 🗓️

The clinic will offer:
💉 Routine vaccines for dogs AND cats
🧬 Microchips
🐾 Preventative medications

🚨 IMPORTANT INFORMATION 🚨

This clinic is for Morrow County residents ONLY.
We will be requiring proof of residency/ID, so please do not attempt to get around this requirement. We ask everyone to be honest so we can make these services available to the residents they are intended to help. ❤️

🐕🐈 This is a routine wellness/preventative clinic. Sick or injured pets cannot be seen at this event. This clinic is intended for routine vaccines, preventatives, microchipping, and general maintenance-not diagnosis or treatment of illness.

➡️ WALK-INS ONLY - NO APPOINTMENTS.

We know everyone is going to have questions about pricing, exactly what vaccines and preventatives will be available, and the location. We promise to share those details as soon as everything is finalized!

For now, SAVE THE DATE — NOVEMBER 8TH!

Stay tuned for more information! 🐾❤️

Help us spread the word so Morrow County pet owners don't miss this opportunity!

TNR program for Ft Defiance, OH residents

🐱🐾 TNR PROGRAM RETURNS TO DEFIANCE ON OCTOBER 7, 2026! 🐾🐱

The City of Defiance continues its commitment to helping control the stray and feral cat population within city limits. After seeing firsthand the positive impact previous TNR programs have had throughout the community, the City is once again partnering with Fort Defiance Humane Society to bring the Rascal Unit Mobile Clinic back to Defiance.

The next Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) Program will take place Wednesday, October 7, 2026.

TNR is a humane and effective way to help reduce the stray and feral cat population in our community. Cats are safely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, ear-tipped, and then returned to the area where they were found.

Every cat altered through this program helps prevent future litters and contributes to a healthier, more manageable stray and feral cat population. ❤️🐾

Now, we need your help! ❤️ Community participation is an important part of making this program successful. We need Defiance residents willing to help trap and return stray and feral cats in their neighborhoods so they can receive these important services.

🙋‍♀️ VOLUNTEERS ARE ALSO NEEDED! If you would like to help with this important community program, please contact Fort Defiance Humane Society at 419-658-2298.

⚠️ PLEASE NOTE: This TNR event is specifically for stray and feral cats located within Defiance city limits and for residents of the City of Defiance.

We absolutely understand that the need for TNR extends far beyond the city limits, and we know many surrounding communities are facing the same challenges. However, because this particular program is funded by the City of Defiance, participation must remain limited to residents and cats within Defiance city limits.

Please share and help us spread the word to Defiance residents! ❤️🐾

The forecast is calling for PURRRfect weather for the Dublin Pet Fair. Sunday 9/27 from noon to 5pm. We hope you will join us!

Congratulations Save a Kitty Feral Cat Program on this milestone 😻

After the dust has settled from another busy Rascal Unit spay and neuter clinic we are thrilled to announce Save A Kitty has now fixed over 10,000 cats (10,007 to be exact). We would like to thank all of the vets, vet techs, clinic staff, volunteers, caretakers and donors for helping us reach this milestone.

Fundraisers like our Fix A Kitty 300 Club Raffle, Give Local MOV, some grants and private donations make this possible. That being said if you haven't bought your 7th Annual Fix A Kitty 300 Club raffle tickets you still have time. See the comments for the flyer.
