Taking it to the Top is a charity climb provided by Embrace The First Step, a local 501(C)3 founded by Michael Roderick. The climb will take place July 2014 with eight climbers and will benefit eight local charities.
New website coming soon. Our last event was a terrific dinner raising funds for the Reagan Delaney Tokes Memorial Foundation . Soon after Covid limitations on gatherings went into effect. Looking forward to our next fundraiser and being with great people again! In the meantime, stay safe.

I know it's been a while since my last post, but I've been working and planning an event to promote Embrace The First Steps newest charity beneficiary:

Of all the great non profits Embrace The First Step has assisted in raising money to benefit their mission, I feel very strongly about this one and I need your support today!

A Big "Thank You" to everyone who attended last Friday's Event at the Copious Restaurant sponsored by Embrace The First Step. Founder, Mike Roderick & Director, Chris Goodrich, celebrated their 60th & 40th Birthdays respectively. More importantly we were there to present the checks to the following 4 great charities: American Heart Association, The Byron Saunders Foundation, The Lone Survivor Foundation & Nellie's Champions for Kids. This could not have been done without everyone's participation and donations from the Dinner Gala & The Golf Outing.
We are so proud of long time supporter of Embrace The First Step, Blair Bauman, for summiting Mount Rainier for a second time. His perseverance in support of the charities is greatly appreciated. In the best of conditions, the climb is extremely rigorous; this year, the weather conditions made it that much more difficult. Congratulations, Blair, for Taking It To The Top! Unfortunately, the founder, Mike Roderick, contracted a stomach virus and was unable to summit. The whole reason for these efforts was to raise money for the four charities. Every dollar helps.
