Hello 2023!

We had a wonderful time celebrating the start of the year with 250+ (brave) plungers in Westerly, RI at the 17th annual Penguin Plunge! Thank you to the WARM Center and the Windjammer Surf Bar RI for hosting such a memorable event.

We are proud to support the WARM Center and their mission. What started out as a soup kitchen and emergency shelter in the heart of Westerly, RI three decades ago has evolved into a comprehensive non-profit that services more than 2,300 people in Rhode Island and Connecticut. Fundraising events like the penguin plunge make their mission possible.

Stephanie Hart thank you for volunteering your time and helping me at the t-shirt table. We made the most of it and had fun!

Maybe next year we'll take the plunge!?

That wasn't sarcasm.

Thank you to the The Institutes (Boston Chapter CPCU) for sponsoring and to Mary Clare McGraw for joining me! We had such a fun time and what a cool space. Great conversations, beautiful artifacts and books, and of course the Lloyds trading desk...!

Over thanksgiving we had the opportunity to accompany some friends on a last-minute trip to Ireland. What a trip! One of the goals around our travel (that wound up successful) was to find “Cousin Michael” with only a couple of clues, some good luck, and lots of ambition.

In our journey we encountered lots of sheep, rainbows, beautiful landscapes, the kindest people…and historic homes with thatched roofs.

The thatched roofs, of course, had our insurance brain spinning!

With the right insurance carrier and agent relationship, even historic homes with thatched roofs can be insured. Having peace of mind is priceless, isn't it?
