We made our way to Montgomery today to introduce Southeast Alabama Community Theatre to a wider audience, promote our exciting summer productions, and spread the word about our new building project at 251 S. Meet the characters of Newsies JR.! Rounding out our introductions, we have Les and Davey, played by Isabella Hunter and Addison Lassiter. Isabella was last seen on stage in A Charlie Brown Christmas and Addison was featured in the competition team production of Anastasia: The Musical (Youth Edition).

Les is Davey's cheeky, pint-sized younger sibling. Les is endlessly curious and excited by the newsies' independent lifestyle.

Davey is Les's older sibling, who starts selling papers to help their family earn a living. Davey is intelligent and becomes the smart, strategic brain behind the newsies' strike.

When powerful newspaper publishers raise prices at the newsboys' expense, the charismatic Jack Kelly rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions. Together, the newsies learn that they are stronger united and create a movement to fight for what's right.

Meet the characters of Newsies JR.! Up next--Katherine Plumber, played by Sophie Lokey, a recently graduated senior on her way to Troy University's Department of Theatre and Dance!

Katherine Plumber is an ambitious, quick-witted young reporter making a name for herself in a male-dominated field. She courageously uses her voice to cover the newsies' strike.
