It’s almost that time of the year again for the kids to start back to school, and we can tell with our recent projects. 🧑‍🎓 We’ve printed thousands of handbooks, school calendars, and student planners. We’ve wrapped busses, trailers, and spruced up facilities with wall murals, vinyl-wrapped doors, and window perf.

You've probably talked to Rebecca Strowd without even knowing it. She's one of the people answering your calls, putting together your quotes, and printing your blueprints — and she made the trek all the way from Canada to the Wiregrass to do it. We sat down with her to find out what surprised her most about the South (spoiler: it's hot), and a few other things.

Q: What’s something about your job that would surprise people?

A: The various tasks that are included in that role. Not only do we answer phone calls and emails, but we also put quotes together for customers, measure vehicles and trailers for decals and vehicle wraps, and we print all of the blueprints that come from our various customers.

Q: What brought you from Canada to the Wiregrass?

A: My husband was born and raised in Columbia, Alabama. When we first got married, we originally planned on having him immigrate to Canada but eventually we decided to move to Alabama instead, and I have been here ever since.

Q: What do you miss most about Canada? What surprised you the most about the South?

A: The thing I miss most about Canada is the snow. What surprised me most about the South is the heat and humidity. I don't know that I will ever get used to it, and I've lived here for 5 years.

Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

A: Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog. I also really love to crochet.

Q: What’s a southern food you’d suggest to future Canadians that move to Alabama?

A: I will always recommend biscuits and gravy. It is a 10/10 every time!
