Carnegie Mellon University is officially coming to Wynwood.

The university announced today a historic $3 billion gift from Ken Griffin, including $2 billion to launch Carnegie Mellon University Miami on a planned 35-acre campus in Wynwood. The new campus aims to begin enrolling students in 2028.

This is much more than a new university campus.

It means new talent, research, innovation, jobs and long-term investment coming into the heart of Miami — strengthening the city’s position as a growing hub for technology, education and entrepreneurship.

And from a real estate perspective, investments of this scale can continue to support the evolution of Wynwood and its surrounding neighborhoods, bringing new demand for housing, retail, offices and services over time.

La universidad anunció hoy una histórica donación de $3 mil millones de Ken Griffin, de los cuales $2 mil millones estarán destinados al lanzamiento de Carnegie Mellon University Miami, en un campus proyectado de aproximadamente 35 acres en Wynwood. La meta es comenzar a recibir estudiantes en 2028.
