This week, Alex had the chance to pay a very special visit to Dan DeMartin’s office as Dan officially retired on Wednesday.
Long before the Shattuck Insurance Agencies became what they are today, Dan took a chance on Alex.
At the time, Alex was delivering Culligan water with no insurance experience. But Dan had known Alex since he was a kid, saw something in him, and gave him an opportunity. More importantly, he took the time to mentor him, teach him, and help him build the foundation that would eventually lead to Alex opening his own agency.
Years later, that opportunity has grown into three agencies, an incredible team, and everything you see today.
It’s pretty amazing to think about how one person believing in someone can completely change the direction of their life. We will always be grateful to Dan for taking that chance on Alex and for the impact he has had on the Shattuck Insurance Agencies story.
Congratulations on your retirement, Dan! Thank you for everything, and we wish you nothing but the best in this next chapter. You’ve certainly earned it!
