Christ Church is getting a resilience upgrade ☀️

We’re currently installing rooftop solar at one of our Detroit Resilience Hub sites, helping to strengthen the building’s ability to serve the community with clean, reliable energy!

That means lower costs, more sustainability, and a space that can keep showing up even during power outages!🖇️

Join us for an afternoon of learning and conversation about how solar energy and heat pumps can be integrated into building projects to create more sustainable, energy-efficient spaces.

Our speakers will share insights, answer questions, and discuss how these technologies can support healthier, more resilient communities.

In partnership with Sachse Construction, sponsored by LuxWall, Inc., April Wagner of epiphany studios has created a gorgeous hard hat from blown glass, coated in NASA-grade dichroic glass coating.

This work of art is live in auction as of this morning‼️

Today, EcoWorks Executive Director Briana DuBose joined Rep. Debbie Dingell, Michigan League of Conservation Voters, and other dedicated partners in Ann Arbor to speak out on the real impact of the Trump Administration: higher energy bills and fewer resources for Michigan families.

At EcoWorks, we see every day how critical energy savings programs are for keeping lights on, homes safe, and costs down. Families deserve affordable, reliable energy—and we’ll continue fighting to make sure no one is left behind. 💡💙

1️⃣ Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Make a commitment to minimize waste. Opt for reusable items, recycle diligently, and say no to single-use plastics.

2️⃣ Conserve Energy: Turn off lights and appliances when not in use. Consider energy-efficient options and make small changes to reduce your carbon footprint.

3️⃣ Green Transportation: Walk, bike, carpool, or use public transportation. Reduce your reliance on fossil fuels and explore eco-friendly commuting options.

4️⃣ Water Conservation: Be mindful of water usage. Fix leaks, use water-saving appliances, and adopt habits that contribute to water conservation.

🌱 Project Focus

This project addresses the urgent need for energy efficiency in low-income houses of worship.

🌬️ Why It Matters

Low-income individuals are disproportionately affected by the climate crisis, experiencing environmental degradation in their living and working spaces. This project aims to bring energy efficiency and renewable energy to the houses of worship where these communities gather, creating a more sustainable and resilient future.

💡 Impact Beyond Energy:

By making these public buildings more energy-efficient, we're not just reducing harm to the environment – we're empowering congregations to redirect savings towards providing more services to their communities.
