Thank you to all our community that came out over the last few weeks to celebrate our bookstore anniversary with us! We couldn’t do this work, which grows more important every day, without your curiosity, your love for reading and talking books, your desire to connect and exchange ideas with fellow humans, your passion for diverse subjects and authors, and your commitment to shopping small.

You overwhelm us with your love. We are grateful! Here’s to many more years reading and growing together. 📚

It's nearly fall, and that's our favorite time of year for cooking!

We're excited to spend time with Claudette Zepeda's cookbook, Cooking the Borderlands: Spice and Smoke Between Mexico and the States. Claudette is a Top Chef star, Iron Chef Mexico finalist, and Tijuana-San Diego border kid.

We hope you'll join us as we journey this month through her story of a personal and culinary identity that formed between two cultures, which she tells through 100 vibrant recipes, anecdotes, and an irreverent sense of humor.

Then choose a recipe (no experience necessary) and bring it to share! We look forward to being at the table with you.

Copies available in the store.
