Worth came out with his dad Wesley and brother in law Patrick and although the seas were somewhat rough, they were definitely doable. Headed out and first stop was about 15-16 NM from the Pass. The bite was alright today, not great but not terrible either! Ended up with 20 Mingo Snappers, 3 Red Ty and ones, 2 Large Mangroves (way to go, Worth!), an Almaco Jack, a nice shark-scarred Red Grouper and a kinda rare Red Hind! Also released a Fine Amberjack to fight another day! A great catch for a 6-7 hr Gulf adventure! Thanks again, guys!

Todd, Bruce and new graduate Pierce came out on the mighty Double Time for an 8 hour fishing experience and we had a great day on all fronts! Weather was perfect, bait bit and calm seas allowed us to get offshore and hunt sea monsters all day. Pierce had said his only request was a Mahi (Dolphin) and I explained that it’s hit or miss as we usually have to find floating structure to find Dolphins. But Pierce brought us good luck as we had a schoolie swim up to the boat while bottom fishing and we caught it! Later at another spot we caught one on the fly line and then caught 7 more for a total of 9 Dolphins! Had a ‘Cuda on for a bit before a shark ate it, got the head back only. The Mingo Snapper bite was steady all day and we ended up with 27 Mingos and 3 nice Triggerfish, largest was 5.4 lbs! Thanks again guys for choosing Double Time Charters!
Here’s one to beat, Justin!

Steve Vinson came out on the mighty Double Time bringing Richard and Jack and even Doug Richards out for a half day 6 hour adventure yesterday and we had an incredible trip! First off the weather was PERFECT, light winds and seas and the water was cobalt starting only 10 miles out! We put a good dent in the Vermillion Snapper population and then focused on the larger fish. Caught several Red Groupers but no keepers. I decided to stop on a little wreck and let Capt. Doug try his jigs for a Jack and had great success! Ended up catching 3 Greater Amberjacks that we released and 3 big Almaco Jacks for the grill. Largest Almaco was 10 LBs, a beast! A great adventure no doubt! Thanks again Steve, Richard and Jack and Doug for an awesome time!

Rick brought out his client Todd and Todd’s 3 boys Jacob, David and Zack for a morning charter to target some dinner fish and we had great success! We started out catching Vermilion Snappers (Mingos) and we caught around 20 on the first spot. We moved to some other areas and caught some hard fighting Amberines and then found some nice Red Snappers! Jacob caught a 14.45 lb Snapper! Rick had a shark eat a Mingo on the spinning rod and fought that monster for almost half an hour, got him within about 10-15 feet of the boat and then it broke the 40 lb rat rig. I’m sure Rick is still sore from that! Thanks again guys, hope to see you all again!

Luke and his son Kai ventured out on the Gulf for their first time salt water fishing ever aboard the mighty Double Time and caught a variety of species, some to release and most to keep! Started out live baiting for King Mackerel and barely got the second bait in the water when ZIINNGGG! Screaming Drag on one rod and a second later ZIINNGGG! Fish on the second rod! Luke and Kai did everything right and we boated both Kings, both nice fish. A few more minutes and we had a third in the boat, nice start to the day! The guys captured Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, White Snapper and Kai caught a 33” Gag Grouper we barely got away from the shark right at the boat. We vented the grouper and released him about 300 ft away to give it a chance to get away from the shark. Ended up with a great catch of Red, White and Vermilion Snappers and 3 Kings, largest was about 16 lbs! Thanks again, Luke and Kai!

BJ Baker from Talequa Oklahoma returned and just had to come out and catch the big one! We ended up with 4 different species of snappers! We caught the target Red Snappers, a big Mangove Snapper a Lane Snapper and a big Mingo (Vermilion) Snapper! Susan caught a 2.65 lb Vermilion Snapper, most are around a half pound! But that BJ, man he just had to show everyone up, he caught a 23.37 lb Red Snapper! Thanks again, Team Baker! Hope to see you all again.

John and Aaron came out on the Double Time for several trips to battle sea monsters in the Gulf and returned with tasty dinner every time! We battled Red Snapper, Red Groupers, Amberjacks, Scamps, Mangrove Snappers,Vermilion Snappers and even large thunderstorms over several days! Image of radar shows me running for the skinny opening where we went through the thunderstorms, only getting light rain for about ten minutes! Thanks again, John and Aaron, hope you enjoy the fish! Might need to invite some friends over…
