October is almost over which is also the end of the fishing rodeo in Destin. One of my favorite things to do in October is watch the fishing boats parade out to sea at sunrise. Here is a shot from a few weeks ago with Al-Lin Charter boat leading the way 🐟

Last night on Destin Harbor taken from the upstairs deck at AJ's. My favorite fireworks photos are the ones with a lot of details telling a story about the scene so I like this one a lot. These girls were in town on a Bachelorette party weekend and I asked if they wouldn't mind being in my picture. They were the perfect spectator subjects at this corner table on the upstairs deck and they happily agreed. I was shooting from AJ's because I was a guest at the Pyro Shows annual Destin retreat party so I was determined to find a good shot from there. Pyro Shows does all the fireworks shows around Destin for Harborwalk, Boardwalk and Baytowne but they are headquartered in Tennessee so a lot of the company was in town watching these fireworks. You can see one party guest in his Pyro Crew shirt watching from the balcony which was a cool little detail I didn't plan. The fireworks barge is in a slightly different spot in the harbor every show depending on the weather and wind but I always know where to point the camera by looking for the pirate ship boat. They are always right near the fireworks barge and are easy to see from a distance. If you look closely here you can see them out in the harbor on their fireworks cruise near the burst. I don't usually explain this much detail about every shot but I have been working on my Destin photography coffee table photo book that is coming out soon where I am enjoying telling some of the stories behind my photos so I decided to include some here. I hope you guys enjoyed the fireworks if you were able to see them and don't forget there's just 2 more of these Saturday night Harborwalk shows in October and then that's all until the lighted boat parade in December. I highly recommend this table if you can get it but all the ones on the upstairs deck have a nice view. I hope everyone at Pyro Shows enjoyed their annual retreat and safe travels back to Tennessee today 💥💥💥
