Established in 1949. 66 personnel are divided among three 24-hour shifts, capable of responding to calls for help for fires, emergency medical services, rescue, public service, public fire education, and much more.

🚨 Weather Alert: Storms Approaching DeSoto 🚨
Strong thunderstorms are expected to reach DeSoto between 8:20 and 8:30 p.m.
⚠️ Potential impacts:
• Wind gusts up to 60 mph
• Heavy rainfall
• Frequent lightning
• Localized flooding
Please secure loose outdoor items, stay weather aware, and avoid driving through flooded roadways.
Turn Around, Don't Drown.
The City will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed.

We would like to welcome our two newest members, Arthur Flores and Connor Thompson. Both come to us as fully certified Firefighter/Paramedics. They are wrapping up their orientation and will begin FTOs on shift next week!
