Summer goes by fast. If you haven’t planned anything yet we have some trips coming up in July and August. We have room for you!

Fun week ahead next week. Please get your tickets to the fly fishing film tour supporting our local Trout Unlimited chapter. March 8th 10am at the Varsity in Des Moines. Then join us at the shop after. We still have room in our saltwater and articulated fly tying classes!

We had more interest in Jason’s classes so we added a saltwater and smallmouth class. Also lots of new materials in from Fulling Mill.

Fly fishing is for lovers. Lovers of the outdoors and water. Let’s help you get started fishing or tying. We have some fun things to do together in the next few weeks.

The highlight of the last few days has been helping pick out a first fly rod, or box of flies for young fly fishers. I had an uncle come in and tell me that his 9 year old nephew is outside on his family pond with his fly rod at every opportunity.

If you have an outdoor curious kid/teenager in your life. I would encourage you to encourage that curiosity in them.
