Ride a bike, give clean water. Every dollar raised goes directly to providing clean water in Ghana, West Africa.
The Water Ride has many opportunities to cycle inside and outside to raise money for clean water efforts in Ghana. To date, we've raised over $19,000 by people getting on their bicycles in the Des Moines & Indianola community. A community in Ghana is experiencing a better quality of life (education, more hours to work instead of fetch water and time with family) because of people like you who pedal with us. Join us on April 11 for the Indoor Water Ride at Cycle Down Dawg & May 16 for the Outdoor Water Ride (more details to come in the future). Check out our page to get plugged into our fantastic rides.

Hey TMP Supporters!
The Water Ride is this Saturday, August 23rd. We have a 12:00pm start at Confluence Brewing in Des Moines. Saturday is forecasted to be 81 degrees and sunny, we couldn't ask for a better biking day! We are planning to ride from Confluence to 515 Brewing in Clive and back downtown to Fuzzy's Tacos. We are keeping an eye on water levels around Des Moines as some of the bike trails can easily be flooded. Don't worry, if that happens we will have a backup route, just in case.
Plan to arrive at Confluence between 11:00-12:00. They will be donating $1/pint sold from 11:00-1:00, so invite your non-biking friends to join us for a pre-ride cheers. All registered riders will receive a ticket for one free b**r at 515 Brewing to be used on the day of the ride.
PARKING: Please park to the east or west of Confluence if possible to leave their front parking lot open for guests who might be coming and going throughout the day. There is also a parking lot at Gray's Lake that is just North of Confluence and right on the bike trail.
Helmets are strongly encouraged.

📣Water Ride route change and registration! Hello!
Can you believe we have almost hit the end of summer and school is starting back up again? With that also comes The Water Ride. We wanted to remind you of The Water Ride happening this Saturday August 24th in Des Moines. As in years past we will start at Confluence Brewing (1235 Thomas Beck Rd., Des Moines, IA) at noon. Please arrive early to check in, purchase merch and hang out! Parking is available in the parking lots to the east and west of Confluence and at Gray's Lake.
Here is where we are shaking it up this year. Due to multiple trail closures throughout Des Moines, we will be riding from Confluence to The Chicken in West Des Moines via the Great Western Trail. The wildflowers have all popped making this a very pretty ride! The route has been marked with blue arrows along the trail to help guide you.
Please bring your helmet and sunscreen as it's looking like we will have a warm and sunny day to ride!

Water Ride 2023 in the Books!
We had another fantastic Water Ride with picture perfect weather! Thank you to all who signed up and rode with us last Saturday. This event continues to be a success year after year and it’s only because of you!
To recap the event we had over 70 riders and raised over $2,500 dollars! As always, all proceeds from The Water Ride go directly to our clean water and education efforts in Tsipasi, Ghana. It’s wild to think that this year marked our 11th annual ride!
