The goal of the Sexual Assault Forensic Exam (S.A.F.E.) Center is to provide 24/7 patient care to individuals who have survived a sexual assault.
Opening in summer 2026.
We are so grateful for the support of Polk County Iowa. Their collaboration to leading the way for victims in Iowa is monumental.

So empowering for victims all across the state! Very grateful for all those who were part of seeing this through.
It was a full room for the signing ✍️ of HF 2794, A bill for an act establishing a sexual assault forensic examination center grant program and trust fund.
This session will fundamentally change the way victims services will be funded. There is now a dedicated funding stream that will support victims services.
AND the first SAFE Center will be a model for services throughout our state. 🩵
