Got to spend the evening photographing an event for Velaris Club featuring Dacora Motors and their incredible car.

Had the chance to meet founder Kristie D’Ambrosio-Correll and hear more about what they’re building. Before Dacora, Kristie was the CTO of MIRROR, which was acquired by lululemon in a $500 million deal. Now she and her husband are taking on the challenge of building a new American ultra-luxury car brand. Pretty incredible story.

Always cool meeting people who are doing big things and getting to hear the stories behind what they’re building. And always fun getting to step outside the wedding world and work on projects like these!

Also, every time I’m at Walker Homestead I never want to leave. Their staff, hospitality and vision are second to none! 🤍

What a perfect weekend in Chicago 🧡 had a blast with Tara & Kyle! I always love exploring the city with the best couples 🙌🏽

6 years ago yesterday, I shot my very first wedding. 🤍

It’s honestly hard to wrap my head around.

What started as one wedding has somehow turned into six years of getting to do something I genuinely, deeply love for a living.

I’ve gotten to travel all over the country (and beyond) with a camera in my hand. Jamaica, Mexico, California, Florida, South Carolina, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan… and so many places in between. I’ve watched sunsets in places I never thought I’d see, met the coolest people, worked alongside some incredibly talented vendors, and made friendships that have lasted far beyond a wedding day.

But more than the places, it’s the people.

The nervous laughs. The happy tears. The grandparents on the dance floor. The quiet moments between a bride and groom when they think nobody is watching. The families who let me into some of the most meaningful days of their lives and trust me to preserve them forever.

I’ve photographed and filmed hundreds of people in some of the happiest, most emotional moments of their lives… and somehow, they’ve given me just as many memories of my own.

Six years later, I still get excited to show up with my cameras. I still get butterflies before a wedding. I still come home exhausted and think, “I can’t believe this is my job.”

I’m just incredibly grateful.

Grateful for every couple who has trusted me. Grateful for every vendor who has become a friend. Grateful for every destination, every crazy timeline, every rainy wedding day, every dance floor, every laugh, every tear, and every little in-between moment I’ve been lucky enough to capture.

And especially grateful that this little thing I started six years ago has become such a huge part of my life.

Here’s to the first 6 years… and to all the stories still waiting to be told. 🥂📸🤍
