Today, on World Day Against Child Labour, we join the global call to protect every child's right to learn, grow, and thrive.

Child labour continues to deprive millions of children of their education, safety, and opportunities. For many girls, the burden is often hidden through domestic work, caregiving responsibilities, and other forms of labour that keep them out of school and away from opportunities to reach their full potential.

At Daring Girls working together with our partners glami.tanzania we believe that education, mentorship, and empowerment are powerful tools for creating a future where every girl can dream boldly and lead confidently.

As we mark this day, let us renew our commitment to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn, play, and build a brighter future.

Lena came back from her trip to Tanzania last year with more than memories: she came back with a mission. Inspired by the incredible girls she met participating in Kisa Project and Binti Shupavu mentorship programs, she founded the Service Learning Club with friends at Stanley British Primary School to help make a difference.

The result? $1,000 raised - more than 3x the club's goal! - to support Tanzanian girls through a year of mentorship programming led by our sister organization, GLAMI - Girls Livelihood and Mentorship Initiative

“I wanted to start this club because I got to experience firsthand the people that I would be helping out. I got to learn about them and meet them and talk to them. And it really inspired me. Coming back, I really wanted to help the girls and their communities strive,” - Lena
