Ekar Farm connects people to community, and community to the earth. We nourish body, heart, mind and spirit at two sites in Lakewood and Aurora.

We grow sustainably produced fruits and vegetables so that all who are hungry can come and eat. Ekar Farm and Community Gardens is a communal urban farm, inspired by Jewish values. We work to build community, provide experiential and environmental education, and grow sustainably produced fruits and vegetables, expanding access to those in need. From the platform of our urban farm, we apply the pra

A major thank you to Eagle Scout Carter Closson! 🙌 Carter chose Ekar Farm for his project and built brand new raised beds for the residents at Shalom Park.
These beds will give residents a dedicated space to grow fresh vegetables, fruit, and herbs all season long. We love seeing young leaders make a real impact in the community!
Thank you for your hard work, Carter!

We have a big goal, and we need your help to get there!
At Ekar, we believe everyone deserves access to fresh, nutritious food. That’s why we grow our own produce right here and distribute it directly to community members who need it most.
But we can’t do it alone. Help us reach our $25,000 goal so we can keep planting, growing, and feeding our community. Every dollar makes a difference.

🌿 Rooted in Community: Jewish Days of Giving 🌿
We are so excited to join JEWISHcolorado for the Jewish Days of Giving (May 18–20).

This year, our roots are reaching into new soil at Shalom Park. While a new location brings fresh energy, the current drought reminds us how much we rely on one another to thrive.

Our goal is $25,000, and every donation will be MATCHED up to $1,500! That means your generosity goes twice as far in helping us sustain our neighbors and navigate this growing season.

When we invest in the land, we invest in the health and food security of communities all across Colorado.

Will you help us stay rooted and growing?

✨ Double Your Impact: Every dollar is matched until we hit $1,500!

✨ Give: Help us reach our ultimate $25,000 goal.

✨ Connect: Tag a friend below who believes in the power of community!

✨ Support: Visit the link in our bio to make your gift between May 18th and 20th.

Rain or shine, our work continues! Huge thanks to our Executive Director, Jason, for pulling a midnight shift to safely relocate our hive to Shalom Park. We are thrilled to see our bees settling into their new home!

Happy Earth Day! As we head into spring here at the farm, the shifts from a restless, warm winter serve as a gentle nudge to remember our responsibility to the Earth 🌎🌲☀️
