🌍 Happy Earth Day
In a city like Denver, where residents are never far from nature with over 250 parks and one of the top 10 park systems among major US cities, sustainability isn’t just an idea, it’s a responsibility.
At The Quayle Building, we’re committed to fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and equitable community that’s good for people and the planet. Through energy-efficient operations, water-wise landscaping, and thoughtfully maintained shared spaces, we create an environment where residents can live comfortably, sustainably, and connected.
By Building Connected Communities, we’re creating places where people and the planet can thrive together. Whether it’s a morning walk, a bike ride, or time spent in the sun, these spaces are more than amenities, they’re essential to what makes our community thrive.
Today and every day, we’re proud to steward our community with purpose, fostering a place where people and nature coexist.💛

This February marks a powerful milestone - 100 years of Black History Month, rooted in the vision of historian Dr. Carter G. Woodson to ensure Black history and contributions are recognized, taught, and celebrated. A century later, that mission continues.
Black History Month is a time to honor resilience, celebrate culture, and reflect on the countless contributions Black leaders, artists, innovators, and communities have made - and continue to make - to our shared history. It’s also an opportunity to listen, learn, and engage in meaningful conversations that move us forward together.
📍 Right here in Colorado, there are incredible ways to participate and learn this month, including:
-Live jazz and cultural programming in Denver’s historic Five Points
-Educational talks and performances through Colorado Humanities’ Black History Live
-Community celebrations, film screenings, and art exhibits across Denver, Aurora, Boulder, and Colorado Springs
-A visit to the Black American West Museum, highlighting Black pioneers of the American West
At The Quayle Building, we value diversity, inclusion, and the unique stories that make our communities stronger. We encourage our residents to explore, attend, and support local events, and to take time this month to reflect, learn, and celebrate the rich history and lasting impact of Black culture and communities.

Big congratulations to our restaurant partner, MAKfam!
Located right in our building in Denver's Baker neighborhood, MAKfam has been named a semifinalist for the James Beard Foundation – Best Chef: Mountain 👏🍜
The James Beard Foundation celebrates a vibrant, equitable, and sustainable independent restaurant industry - one that strengthens culture, community, and the broader food system. We couldn’t be more thrilled to see and the entire MAKfam team recognized for their exceptional talent, creativity, and commitment to community on a national stage.
At The Quayle, Building Connected Communities means celebrating the local businesses that bring energy, culture, and excellence to our neighborhoods - and Chef Ken is doing just that. Join us in cheering them on, and if you haven’t experienced MAKfam yet, now is the perfect time.
👏 Congratulations!

Today we reflect on the profound legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his enduring message of justice, equality, and community. His vision encourages us to learn from history, stand up for inclusion, and strengthen the fabric of our neighborhoods.
Dr. King’s work reminds us that education, empathy, and civic engagement are essential to building communities where every voice is heard and every person is valued.
📍Local events you might explore this week:
- Denver MLK Marade March and Parade (Mon, Jan 19)
- MLK Jr. African-American Heritage Rodeo (Mon, Jan 19)
- 4th Annual Dr. King Jr. Performance with Motus & The ReMINDers (Mon, Jan 19)
May today inspire us to connect as neighbors and continue shaping communities where belonging and opportunity go hand in hand.
🥂Cheers to the New Year! 🥂

Wishing you a Happy Holiday season filled with joy and warmth! This holiday season, The Quayle team showed our community SPIRIT with our very first Zocalo Food Drive. It's a powerful reminder of what happens when our communities come together with purpose. Across all communities, teams and residents rallied to support neighbors in need — filling pantries, bringing smiles to those in need, and strengthening the connections that define who we are.
Together, we collected 1,359 food items across our communities! Thank you to everyone who gave generously and helped make this season a little brighter for so many. This is the power of community in action.
