My jaw actually dropped because my $5,200 “drainage estimate” is apparently for fixing what has become my own private driveway lagoon. We’ve got standing water from fence to fence, floating leaves, a sad shed in the corner, the downspout area looking suspicious, and enough reflection on the surface that I could probably start charging ducks rent. The guy who looked at it said “it’s not terrible, it just needs somewhere to go,” which is funny because yes, that is exactly the entire problem. I wanted a driveway, not a stormwater feature with curb appeal issues. Am I being dramatic, or would you be getting this properly graded and drained before the next rain turns it into a swimming pool again?

I am honestly losing my mind looking at this… we paid $6,300 to get this room framed, wired, and started on drywall, and now I’m trying to figure out how to finish it smooth without making it look worse. The ceiling already has taped seams, recessed lights installed, one hole with wires still hanging down, exposed studs on both sides, insulation showing in the back, unfinished door openings, loose drywall pieces on the floor, and that orange bucket sitting in the middle like it’s watching me struggle. Someone told me “just keep mudding and sanding until it’s smooth,” but that feels like dangerously casual advice when every seam, corner, and screw spot is about to show if I mess this up. It looks less like a bedroom remodel and more like a drywall final exam I didn’t study for. Would you keep going DIY, or would you call someone before the finishing stage ruins the whole room?

Please tell me I’m not the only one who would be confused by this… we were quoted $850 to repair the wall and remount the TV, but I don’t even know if that’s where I should start after seeing this mess. The TV is lying on the floor, the mount area has torn open a huge section of drywall, the studs and insulation/wires are visible inside the wall, there’s a big broken drywall piece leaning behind the screen, and cables are stretched across the floor around the power strip. The guy who installed it said “it probably missed solid backing or pulled out over time,” but I don’t know if that means bad install, weak wall, wrong anchors, or something else. It kind of looks like the wall rejected the TV personally. Should I call the original installer, a drywall person, or someone to check the framing before anything goes back up?

I am honestly losing my mind over this… I’ve got 4 days before move-out and now I’m staring at this cabinet door with the hinge area completely chewed up, the screw holes blown out, the particle board shredded around the cup hole, and the black finish scratched up like this thing has been through a tiny demolition job. I was quoted $180 to “repair the hinge,” but the handyman said “it might not hold unless the door gets replaced,” which is exactly what I did not want to hear right before trying to get my deposit back. It looks like the hinge tried to escape the cabinet and took half the door with it. Would you try to fill and re-screw this, use a repair plate, or just replace the whole door before move-out?

Slipped and broke the shower wall. I plan on remodeling in about a year, any temporary fixes for this until then so moisture doesn't get behind it?

No matter what glue or epoxy I use this always comes undone. What can I do?
