CU Peru supports community health workers in the betterment of their own lives and those of their communities.
CU Peru delivers health care training to community health workers who have little formal health care education. These rural health workers live in villages of 100-300 people along the Napo and Amazon Rivers in northeast Peru. These villages are among the poorest and most isolated in Peru, located many hours from trained professionals at official health care facilities. Our model combines multi-day

There’s no oxygen in the lungs of the world.
CU Peru works in the communities outside of Iquitos, the largest city in the world with no roads that lead to it. There is a major shortage of oxygen and medical supplies in the area that have contributed to hundreds of deaths. Please consider supporting CU Peru as we work to develop educational materials about COVID-19 for the community health workers we serve.
