She entered the bird world by falling in love with her Macaw Archie. Ever since, she has dedicated her life to the well-being and education of birds and all avian care. Dakota has fostered and rehabilitated a variety of different birds. She is also very passionate about bird conservation and fighting against deforestation and what has become of many species' natural habitat. Carmen and Dakota are excited to team up to open a brand new shop together and spread the exotic bird love and avian education to Colorado. At the Exotic Bird Ranch II, we hand feed all of our birds because we want owners and our birds to have an interactive experience. It is the healthiest way for the bird and the owner to bond in a proper way. Keeping birds in a cage constantly without being handled will create unhappy birds and unhappy owners.
