Johnnie Bolin would be excited - 9 years after he joined me in Lawrence Kansas to witness Lucas Parker because of this crazy idea of having a really special band that could showcase the music of Tommy Bolin that Johnnie Bolin and other veterans of Tommy’s career would be in! We gave it a good two show run as a proof of concept with Lucas as THE GUITARIST! We proved that it was a GREAT idea!
Then Johnnie wound up inviting Lucas to come to BOLIN FEST a variety of times and here he is cooking to a Tedeschi Trucks Band classic with Russell Bizzert and Ellen Cusac at one of those events!
Then life happened and here we are now in 2026 and we are excited here NOW that Lucas is about to release his first full album - we were there for him then and we are here for him now.
“0 to 60 by Lucas Parker” will be out on out all platforms on Tuesday, May 26

This is our driving sentiment when it comes to Tommy Bolin and Tommy loved Bob and started being influenced by his reggae music in 1973! Most people understand this, but some people still judge Tommy as being “at fault” for being who he was, and above all else, he was one of the greatest, most gifted musicians of his era. The rest of it was him just being human.
Bob died May 11, 1981.
