Let’s hear it for Expunge Colorado’s TEAM of legal volunteers! We’ve been building for a while and it’s amazing to reflect how far we’ve come this past year! 🎉🙌🏽

Sharing behind the scenes of pics of the people we are extremely grateful for who have been showing up for Expunge Colorado these past few months. Really proud and appreciative for all these humans who care about justice and have volunteered their time and expertise to help us in an our mission to seal records! 🙏🏽

We met last Saturday and last Wednesday working on people’s cases. We even have attorney volunteers meeting more frequently and are developing our new process. Our goal is to provide pro bono record sealing services on an ongoing basis moving away from an annual clinic model. This is critical because the demand of our services has doubled and we need to grow and scale!

Sealing eligible criminal records removes barriers to employment and housing and much more. Sealing records can provide dignity and seconds chances to people who have truly changed their lives around.

Our nonprofit is coming back from a hard year of transformation. We suffered a bit from someone trying to sabotage the org and our work last year. We are in our Phoenix Era and are building a team and organization that’s resilient, more collaborative than ever before, a community-centered org that honors lived experience. 🐦‍🔥

TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAMWORK.✨

This work is not about one person, it’s bigger than all of us. These amazing new attorney volunteers involved with us know this and it’s incredible seeing it in action. We are grateful for them and all their expertise and efforts in helping us provide ongoing pro bono record sealing services.

We couldn’t this work with our volunteers! Also shoutout to our newest Board Member, Liz. She has given our organization new life with her involvement and the way she shows up for Expunge Colorado.

Thank you for those who keep showing up for the work and for those who are able to financially support Expunge Colorado! 💛
