Mayes Elementary Library

Open House plus making bookmarks in the library equals lots of fun! Thank you to everyone that stopped by and visited this afternoon.

Book Tasting Day 1 was a success! Day 2 coming up. I love watching/listening to our students get excited about new books!

Come by the library and let your child make a bookmark!🔖

Get ready to decorate your ghost in your favorite book character! Most classes received their ghosts on Thursday and Friday. I’ll get the rest of the classes their ghost the beginning of this next week. Happy decorating!

Library brag! This sweet Kinder was a role model for the others by helping me while I was dismissing her class yesterday. She took over holding the bag that their books went in without being asked while I was occupied with another task. Way to go!!

Yellow Jackets Read Challenge kicks off this Thursday! Wear your favorite sports jersey or t-shirt to school that day!

Library Brag! This girl! She was my calm on Friday afternoon😊. While there was some chaos in the library, she was going around straightening up the library, picking up stuff off the floor etc. She’s a great helper!

First Makerspace Day of the school year was a success!

We have about a week and 1/2 left of September! Who else is going to get their library card? Don’t forget to show it to Mrs. Moody!
