Day 2 of Summer Sweet Reads challenge! Petey is reading! Are you?!

We’ve been talking about this as classes have visited the library this week! Get ready to start reading!

This remarkable young lady showed great initiative in helping a friend who was having a challenging day. When the friend came to the library, we had a conversation about starting over and doing what is right. Although the friend was still struggling to find a “just right” book, this kind and compassionate girl, without being asked, jumped in to help.

Day 2 brought us lots of excitement and 5 baby chicks🐥! All classes that visited the library were able to see them and for me, just to see the expressions of awe on the children’s faces, it made my day💜!

Today, the library was filled with excitement as baby chicks piped and hatched. All classes visiting the library had the opportunity to observe various stages of the hatching process. It was a privilege to witness the expressions on students faces as they heard a chirp from a crack in the shell or saw movement from within the cracked egg!
